connecting point food pantry

The Daniel's Hill neighborhood is officially recognized as a food desert, meaning reliable access to fresh, affordable groceries is scarce. The Connecting Point’s client-choice pantry meets that gap while protecting dignity: neighbors choose the items their households actually enjoy and need. Food pantry days begin with a hot, shared meal that turns a grocery trip into fellowship around the table.

3 simple ways to serve

volunteer

Serve solo, with family, friends, or your Community Group. Roles range from greeting guests and guiding “shopping” to cooking breakfast and carrying groceries.

DONATE

Donate regularly to keep the shelves stocked by bringing items during open hours, responding to our “Need of the Month” spotlight, or using the full donations list.

HOST A FOOD DRIVE

Rally your school, workplace, or neighborhood to collect our most-needed items. We’ll equip you with flyers, most needed items list, and pick-up or drop-off scheduling.

Thanks to the generosity of Gospel Community Church, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and friends like you, we have already served more than 100 unique households in the first half of 2025 alone - and demand continues to grow.

we love our partners

We’re grateful to partner with Lynchburg Grows, whose commitment to fresh, locally grown produce helps us provide healthy food options to the neighbors we serve through our food pantry. Their partnership allows us to offer not just food, but dignity, nourishment, and care to our community.
